Cartoon Scandal

A cartoon scandal of breath-taking disgust is sweeping the Canadian province of Saskatchewan.

The Leftist University of Saskatchewan student newspaper, The Sheaf, refused to print the Danish Cartoons. Then, it printed a disgusting cartoon of Jesus doing a BJ on a Pig. A storm has been raging for days now. The Sheaf is funded partially by student fees, whereby each student at the U or S manditorially must contribute $6.10 to the paper. Source

At first it looked like the editorial staff of The Sheaf, all hard core lefties would be forced to resign, but now it seems they may be digging in. Today the Managing Editor issued his resignation to the media. But others on the paper's staff are still in place. Local talk show radio head, John Gormley roasted The Sheaf, but the battle isn't over. Blogger Kate of SDA has been all over the story from the get-go. What is amazing, is the Lefties just don't get it, and they are actually starting to rebound, to dig in, and the apologies are turning into a series of dodges, ducks, dips, dives, and dodges.

Imagine what would have happened, had the BJ Jesus been a BJ Mohammad instead. Little'ol Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada, would've been the center of an international event that would've made the Danish Cartoons from Hell seem like a country fair.

Update:

Discussion at SDA: Commentors have pointed out that more and more people are offended at the "Jesus" content. And, contrary to my comments in the "comments" that seems to be true. So, I'll retract what I said. I'll clarify where Cjunk stands. We are against the duplicity of not running the Danish Cartoons then running the BJ Jesus cartoon. It's plain ordinary lazy hypocracy. And, we believe it was only possible to run the BJ Jesus toons because Christians will not be killing, rampaging, and beheading over this. The left vilifies Christians happily for all sorts of evils, yet gives Islamo-fascists a pass.... ??????? That's our point. The dots don't connect. And, try as you might, it's very hard to find "hate" coming out of the offense taken by Christians to the cartoon. Since when was taking offense at something an act of hate?
