Condemning Islam is a Sin

There’s an unwritten rule among “progressives” that one is not allowed to condemn Islam. We aren’t allowed to say “I oppose Islam in general”. It’s not allowed because to do so is bigoted or racist (I’m not sure how racism gets into the equation). The understanding is that religions are above general condemnation (although you’d never know it by the far Left’s rants against Christians).

What “progressives” believe, in essence, is that all religions are equal.

Now consider, if I told you that it was bigoted to condemn fascism, Nazism, or communism. Imagine if I told you that by condemning fascism, you have stepped over a line … that you are no longer tolerant, and are xenophobic (because some foreigners are fascists). Imagine me saying that you are just afraid of fascists … or that you don’t understand them.

Yet, when it comes to socio/cultural/political and religious doctrines (based on the actual written dogma), Islam belongs on the set of Monty Python’s Life of Brian, not anywhere even remotely within modern liberal society. It is chauvinistic to such a stunning degree that even 1400 years ago it was considered extreme by many local cultures; it teaches murder for trivialities; it teaches the abuse, murder, and subjugation of non-Muslims; it specifically targets Christians and Jews for hatred; it teaches the murder of apostates; it teaches the murder of homosexuals; and it teaches absolute and complete adherence to Muhammad’s example (which includes marrying 9 year olds and murdering the husbands of women you lust after). Islam is not only religion, it is a guide book for ordering society.

So, I condemn Islam with all the confidence and right with which I condemn fascism, Nazism, and Communism. I, for one, don't take the gift of liberal democracy for granted.
