I can think of nothing more ironic, than the possibility that while Global Warming alarmists cry "hot", the planet is actually about to wreak havoc ... with cold. In fact, there is nothing more fitting a punishment upon the dupes and fools of the human race who run willy-nilly after the likes of Al Gore and the UN's IPCC, than snow ... lots and lots of snow. Look at the bright side though ... at least Bangladesh won't be flooded under fifteen feet of Gorian seawater.
First, as a warning shot, we now find that Northern hemispheric snow cover this winter is the greatest since 1966. Sure, it's no sure sign of climate change, but it does serve as a clear example of what we may be in store for ... and much much worse. If you thought Global Warming was a bad act ... consider the calamity to be unleashed if we go deepfreeze for several decades:

We’ve had anecdotal evidence of odd weather in the form of wire reports from Saudi Arabia, Iraq, and China where record setting cold and snow has beenThen, we have this little sobering ditty from Canadian scientists no doubt:
felt with intensity not seen for 30-100 years, depending on the region.
From our remote sensing groups, we have reports of significant negative anomalies in both the RSS and UAH global satellite data for the lower troposphere. The there’s NOAA’s announcement that January 2008, was below 20th century averages, plus news that Arctic sea ice has quickly recovered from the record low extent of Summer 2007. Finally, there’s the massive La Nina said to be the driver of all this but may be a harbinger of a more permanent phase shift according to veteran forecaster Joe Bastardi.
Now to add to this, we have images and reports from NOAA and Rutgers University of large anomalies of snow cover extent for the northern hemisphere in January 2008.
Kenneth Tapping, a solar researcher and project director for Canada's National Research Council, is among those looking at the sun for evidence of an increase in sunspot activity.
Solar activity fluctuates in an 11-year cycle. But so far in this cycle, the sun has been disturbingly quiet. The lack of increased activity could signal the beginning of what is known as a Maunder Minimum, an event which occurs every couple of centuries and can last as long as a century.
Such an event occurred in the 17th century. The observation of sunspots showed extraordinarily low levels of magnetism on the sun, with little or no 11-year cycle.
This solar hibernation corresponded with a period of bitter cold that began around 1650 and lasted, with intermittent spikes of warming, until 1715. Frigid winters and cold summers during that period led to massive crop failures, famine and death in Northern Europe.
Tapping reports no change in the sun's magnetic field so far this cycle and warns that if the sun remains quiet for another year or two, it may indicate a repeat of that period of drastic cooling of the Earth, bringing massive snowfall and severe weather to the Northern Hemisphere.
First off, let me say that I'm stunned, absolutely stunned that the sun could have such effect on the earth's climate; that it would actually be the main "driver" of climate.
Being a capitalist pig though, here's my tip for you:
Find a way of blaming humans for the cooling to come ... then cash in on the eco-blitz; or, invest in natural gas heated greenhouses ... lots and lots of very big greenhouse. We'll need them.
