Paying for the Toons

A while back we published a Swedish cartoon under "The Gun is Mightier than the Pen". The cartoonist clearly understands history, in that might always triumphs over freedom of expression. It is only our superior might that protects our freedom of expression. Those under bondage have always relied on might to free themselves or be freed by others.

Muslim "tolerance" of Western insolence will likely burst sooner or later; especially when those of us who publish the motoons are considered "radicals" by "moderate" Muslims. That makes those Westerners who give in to Muslim demands, the moderates. I suppose it'll make the "progressive" class feel good about itself.

“It is not a way of improving your rights and exercising your freedoms when you use these rights for insulting the most sacred values and symbols of others and inciting hatred,” he said. “This is a very wrong, provocative way — unacceptable.”

In other words, do as we say, or you incite hatred; never disagree with us ... or you incite hatred. I suppose we can't expect much better from those who worship a child rapist and hyper-chauvinist ... and, a murderous schizophrenic to boot.

By the way, you know they don't share our values for freedome when even their heads of state intervene to prevent 15 minute films from being shown in Western countries. I'd call it cultural retardation, but that'd be a misnomer. Their culture never left the 1400, least of all arrive in this century.
