It may be instructive for North Americans to keep an eye on the oh-so-green EU ... in the least, we'll get a great laugh watching them destroy their own economy while helping convert the former Soviet Union into an economic power house.
What's it with Europeans anyway? Can they not go for more than a couple decades without creating a self-imposed calamity? They stumbled from WW1 into WW2 ... then depended entirely on the United States for decades as the Soviets salivated over them ... now they are being overrun by herds of greens hell-bent on creating another manufactured crisis. If the EU were a cat, I'd council putting it out of its misery.
It's going to get a lot uglier in Europe I fear, what with greens forcing loony economic policies on the one hand, and millions of Muslims glowering from the suburbs on the other ... not to mention the rage that will be unleashed by unemployed steel workers when they find out that the human caused global warming theory was just a hoax in the first place. Hell, they riot when attempts are made to expand the work week ... imagine what's coming down the pipe when entire factories shut down and move to the Ukraine:
The grumbling has been around for some time, but now Spiegel tells usthatGerman industrialists are, to coin a phrase, getting a bit Bloshie.... keep reading!
In a piece headed, "Killing Jobs to Save the Climate", it warns that the price of European emission permits is rising so rapidly that German companies are threatening to leave the country. Thousands of jobs could be lost. And the environment may, in the end, be no better off.
Bringing this to life, author Karsten Stumm describes a seminar given by the German environment authorities, attended by sundry industrialists.
