Why Warmists Can't Be Trusted

One of the biggest Global Warming shills is the UK MET.

The MET oozes global warming boilerplate and fans the flames of hysteria whenever possible by predicting the horrors to come in an AGW world. The MET shills are, after all, "experts".

Yet, when it comes to predicting medium-term weather ... something far easier to do than predicting long term climate trends ... the MET is a bust. After all, if you can't predict general weather trends 6 months out, where you can ignore many complex decadal processes and where all processes are understood, how in the hell are you going to predict weather trends into the distant future where you don't understand all the processes that effect climate.

You see, warmists brush off inaccurate medium term weather forecasting by claiming that weather forecasts are somehow more difficult to make ... a notion that we who are storm chasers and amateur meteorologists scoff at. Yet, these same AGW shills dare ... they actually dare ... predict "weather" decades into the future.

More hurricanes, more tornadoes, droughts, hotter summers, wetter summers, less snow, prolonged heat waves, floods ... are all decadal weather trends predicted by warmists on a regular basis. Have you ever noticed as well, that the "weather" caused by the dreaded man-made global warming from hell is all bad ... even though any serious consideration reveals that freezing weather is far more deadly to species than warm weather. After all, the fossil record is evidence of how abandunt a warm planet is, while a cold one spells death.

Let's see how the MET wonderful divining models of wonder stack up for the winter of 08/09 in the UK.

First, the prediction:
25 September 2008

The Met Office forecast for the coming winter suggests it is, once again, likely to be milder than average. It is also likely that the coming winter will be drier than last year.

Seasonal forecasts from the Met Office are used by many agencies across government, private and third sectors to help their long-term planning.
Then, the reality as experience by Her Majesty:

During a trip to church in Norfolk today, the Queen was caught up in a light dusting but she was undeterred by the conditions and stopped to chat to onlookers.

Winds are expected to get close to gale force in some areas tonight.

The big freeze heralds the start of February during what has been the coldest winter for 13 years.
White Outs

SNOW fell across Britain today in a freezing start to Febrrr-uary as experts predicted today will bring some of the worst whiteouts for 18 years.

Up to 12 inches of snow are set to settle in the eastern Penines, the low mountain range stretching from Derbyshire to the Scottish borders.

And around 8ins could land on exposed parts of London and the South East, Lincs and Yorks.
Update:

Anthony has noticed the MET record.
