Fort Hood: My Two Cents

Penny One:

Some things never change - Men sleep peacefully in their beds at night because rough men [women] stand ready to do violence on their behalf. ~ Orwell

"She happened to encounter the gunman. In an exchange of gunfire, she was wounded but managed to wound him four times," Cone said. "It was an amazing and aggressive performance by this police officer."

Penny Two:

Military officials were trying to piece together what may have pushed Hasan, an Army psychiatrist trained to help soldiers in distress, to turn on his comrades.

Oh really ... you're trying to "piece together":

Soldiers who witnessed the shooting rampage at Fort Hood that left 13 people dead reported that the gunman shouted "Allahu Akbar!" — an Arabic phrase for "God is great!" — before opening fire, the base commander said Friday.
I wonder how many tens of thousands of people have heard "Allahu Akbar!" moments before they perished.

From the comments:
Were they screaching Allahu Akbar too?
I wonder ... were they? (much editing and scrubbing has gone on since last night, but you'll get the drift)
