"But then, there is the "progressive" class ... that aimless mass of Western humanity so burdened by cultural self-loathing that it is to Islam, as ungulates are to lions."
The Bloc down to 7.8% of the vote. Working on the basis that you multiply by 4 to get the figure in Quebec, that would translate to 31.2% or there abouts. Their vote is definately being eroded, which bodes well for the Conservatives chances of getting an overall majority.
The coalition must be pissed off at Iggy. After the debates and the round of polls that follows watch for Rae and Ujhal to come out all pissed off with knives unsheathed. Should be fun.
Why the hell anybody would vote for the Lieberals after all their years of corruption just amazes me. I suppose it's the same with voters support for the Yankee Democrats. An unfortunately large percentage of the voters in the Western democracies have the attention span of gerbils, no or very little historical memory, precious few critical thinking skill. Consequently, they give very little time to become informed and involved. In other words, the antithesis of what a Citizen is supposed to be and do.
Oooo. I like what's happening to the Dippers. But geeze, these polls are all over the map. Who knows what's gonna happen. I just hope people get off their soft tushes and actually go and vote.
I'm not sure if a Tory Majority will be much different than the monster that Mulroney ran. He had 10 years to peel back the collectivist klepto state the Lib-Left legislated but he spent time giving us a looser trade deal that does nothing for consumers, a gun control law we are still trying to unburden ourselves from and a supply chain value added tax and sales tax that stifled productivity and created a 20 billion dollar/yr gray market.
Can/will Steve undo this legacy of rogue conservatism?
