Taking some time off to spook around the woods. Took this buck with a TC 50 cal using 250 gr. Hornady 45 Cal sabot. Buck obliged me by walking to within 15 yards.
Nice 4 pt buck! Down here in Pa, with the numbers of licensed hunters declining for several decades, there's a really large population of deer. In fact, in the state and federal parks, where hunting isn't allowed, the herds have become unmanageably large and destructive. The federal and state park authorities have come up with plans for culls, using park rangers and professional hunters, with the meat harvest going to food banks. Even with this need, and this humane and efficient plan, The Usual Suspects bleat and groan, go to all the public meetings the park officials have, and protest. "Find another way!" Hey, there isn't "another way"! Moreover, this is a whole lot more humane than the alternative, a couple hundred thousand starving and freezing to death every winter. But The Usual Suspect eco-crowd can't be reasoned with.
When I originally commented I clicked the "Notify me when new comments are added" checkbox and now each time a comment is added I get several e-mails with the same comment. Is there any way you can remove me from that service? Thank you!
