Climate Terror: A Diminishing Threat

Here is a graph comparing CO2 emissions, the alleged climate danger, to the number of climate-related deaths, which reflects actual climate danger to humans. It’s striking—as CO2 emissions rise, climate-related deaths plunge.

I came close to buying a 35 in the rem 750 format a few years ago.. I decided on a 308 instead.. The ammo was the prohibiting factor as it was hard to find.. In the 700 layout you've got my dream rifle as I do reload and you could really rev up that wonderful cartridge..

We have lots of Remington ammo available, but it's 200 or 250 grain, and still $45 a box. I like the 225 grain as I think they offer the best velocity/weight combo. That damn Nosler 225 Gr ammo goes for $75 a box, but it is super accurate and zips out at 2750 ft/sec. Reloading is looking more and more necessary. I've read about reloaders getting north of 2800 ft/sec with 225s; so yes, you could really make that gun better yet.

Any proper research provides for a way to disprove a hypothesis. The climate fear-mongers have eliminated that very essential part of science; they simply make excuses when their predictions fail, and simply move the goal posts. It's absolutely appalling. No matter the climate does, their theory is correct. We could be plunged into an ice age; and they'd blame CO2.

I looked at the .35 Whelen myself a few years back when I got a bad shoulder and couldn't take the recoil from my 7mm RM, but decided on the 30-06 due to the availability of ammunition and the much cheaper price. I reload, and have used Hornady btsp forever with good success. My brother makes cast bullets in .308 for me, out of babbit, which act much like Barnes solids, with the same impact.

It's a shame Remington decided to put a 22 inch barrel on this rifle, 24 inch was always the standard until about 50 years ago when for some reason all manufacturers decided to make 22 inch the standard. Less recoil with the longer I've found. I hunt with an old Husqvarna model 1600, bought from Tradex, 24 inch barrel, excellent accurate gun.

Thanks for a great writeup on the Whelen..

Same here. I was tempted to buy a Montana Rifle Company Whelen with 25" barrel, all bedded and free floated with composite stock. The $$$$ was just to much. My current Whelen cost me less than half, including scope and hinge plate.

I agree I just built one on a 98 Mauser with a 1:14" twist. It shoots 250 gn Woodleighs I to .542 and 275 gn Woodleighs
